Course Pre-requisites:

Applicants must be 21 years old or above, and meet all of the following criteria:

• be able to speak, listen, write, and read English with Numeracy skills at a minimum proficiency level 4 of the Employability Skills System (i.e., Workplace Literacy and Numeracy, WPLN).

• have at least 2 years of working experience in manufacturing, engineer associates, technician, or team lead-er (PMET)

• have access to a suitable device and possess the necessary IT skills to effectively engage in the sessions.

This track is tailored for machine operators, technicians, and supervisors, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to operate machinery safely and contribute to a risk-free workplace.

• Understand the intended use of machinery and follow manufacturer guidelines.
• Adhere to safety instructions, PPE requirements, and workplace safety regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure machine safety.
• Report hazards, malfunctions, and near-miss incidents to prevent accidents.
• Avoid unauthorized modifications that could compromise safety features.
• Follow emergency procedures and safely shut down machines in critical situations.
• Collaborate in workplace risk reduction by identifying and mitigating hazards.
